Day 3 - Gorilla trekking, Bwindi Impenetrable rainforest

After breakfast at 7.30am you will be met by your driver and guide and taken to the trekking centre for your briefing before heading off into the jungle in search of the Mountain Gorilla. Taking a packed lunch with you and plenty of water to drink you will hike for up to 6 hours deep into the forest.

We highly recommend early booking in order to secure trekking permits (at least 6 months in advance).

Following your return from the jungle you can either rest up back at the lodge or if you still have some energy left you can take a guided walk around the village and see how the people of Buhoma live.

For those not wanting to go on the trek you have the option to visit a variety of community projects, Buhoma Community hospital and state of the art nursery school, one of the local primary schools or the Batwa people.

Day 5 - Lake Mburo Walking Safari

There is nothing quite like a safari on foot.  This guided walking trip gives you the chance to learn about the plants and animals of the park, the wide variety of species, recognising tracks and learning behaviours as you watch zebra eat, giraffe drink and impala or warthogs snuffle at termite mounds.

Returning to the camp it will be time to depart and head back to Entebbe ready for your departure.
