Trip summary

Day 1 - Arrival in Uganda & Bugondo Forest Chimp Trekking

Following your arrival at Entebbe airport you will be met by the A J Tours & Travel team and set off for Murchison Falls National Park.  On the way there we will stop off to go for Chimpanzee trekking in the beautiful Bugondo Forest before continuing onwards to the lodge.

We will arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight at Red Chilli Camp or Paraa Safari Lodge

Day 2 - Boat safari to Murchison Falls

We take an early ferry crossing over the Nile to go for our first morning game drive through this beautiful park - the largest in Uganda.  We will be in search of lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, hyenas, hartebeests, oribis, monkeys and birds.  After lunch we head to the landing to join the boat safari up the Nile to the thunderous Murchison Falls, taking in a host of incredible wildlife and scenery along the way.

Day 3 - Bugungu Wildlife Reserve, Butiaba village & Fort Portal

After breakfast we head towards the town of Fort Portal passing through the Bugungu Wildlife Reserve via the fishing village of Butiaba and the small trading town Hoima.  We will arrive in Fort Portal in the evening ready for dinner.

Day 4 - Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga boat safari

We continue our journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a visit to the crater lakes and the equator where we can stop and enjoy taking photographs before driving on to our destination - Euphorbia Safari Lodge.  In the evening we take you for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a 36km long natural channel joining Lakes George and Edward and teaming with wildlife and wonderful birds.  You can see hippos galore here as well as elephants taking a drink and Nile crocodiles lazing in the sun.

The birdlife is plentiful too: African skimmers, fish eagles, cormorants, saddle-billed storks, pelicans etc.

Day 5 - Transfer to Kampala

After a last early game drive in the park we will transfer back to Kampala with some relaxation time at Lake Victoria Hotel before driving back to the airport and your journey home.
