Pascal Jobogo, Owner & Managing Director

Hi, I am Pascal Jobogo, owner of A J Tours & Travel.  Here is a little bit about me:

My career started in the Virunga National Park of The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where I was trained in Hotel Management while working in the Hotel De la Rwindi.  From there I went to Tunisia to gain further work experience before returning to work in Goma, DRC and with Meridien Hotels in Rwanda as Assistant Manager.

For a while I took my leave of the hotel industry and went to work with The United Nations in Rwanda on a nutrition project and from there travelled to Brussels to work with the European Community as a Chef for the next three years.

It was time to return to Africa and try my hand a running my own Hotel and restaurants which I enjoyed alongside working with The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Kampala, Uganda.

At the time when I set up A J Tours in 2007 I had become increasingly concerned about the communities of Queen Elizabeth National Park and commenced a working partnership with Association Keiser to address the health, welfare and education needs of the villages there.

While I share my love of East Africa with visiting groups and individuals, I continue to fulfill my own dream to help more of the communities of Uganda.

I look forward to welcoming you.

I will be based in our office in Kampala but will also work in the field including at our Sister company Euphorbia Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. I am really looking forward to expanding my role within both companies and to working with our Partners and Clients.

Adam Ndawula, Head Driver & Guide

Hello, I am Adam Ndawula, Head Driver and Guide here at A J Tours.  I have worked closely with Pascal since 2004 and am a highly experienced tour guide covering Uganda, Rwanda and the Congo as well as Kenya, Southern Sudan and Burundi.  I have travelled extensively in East and Central Africa and am fluent in English, Swahili and several other African languages.

I particularly enjoy talking about the flora and fauna of these countries - their characteristics, habitats and behaviours and with my knowledge can ensure you are safe at all times too.

Nick Greaves, Expert Guide (& Bird Specialist)

Hi, I am Nick Greaves, professional safari guide with a passion for the birdlife of Eastern and Southern Africa.  I have been travelling and living in Africa on and off since 1976 and have worked with Pascal and the A J Tours team since its inception in 2007.

Having studied geology and environmental science, the shape of the landscape also fascinates me and I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge for these things with anyone who enjoys learning about them.

I have also had the good fortune to actually live in Southern Africa for more than 25 years and I have hopefully soaked up enough of the wilderness of Botswana and Tanzania along with Uganda to be able to share plenty of facts and tales that I hope will interest you.

Safari travel in East Africa with A J Tours is a must in my view and with the new Euphorbia Safari Lodge there is a great base from which to explore the bird and animal life of the region.

I am available on request for tailor made trips for those of you with a specific interest in birding.

Neil Trickett Expert Guide and Conservation Specialist

Hello, I am Neil Trickett, passionate conservationist, herpetologist, traveller of Africa and Zoo Director at Wild Discovery, based in the UK. I have been working and travelling with A J Tours since 2008 as a specialist freelance guide.

A.J Tours offer specialist guided tours for those with a passion for wildlife conservation and those looking to make their African travels a little more unique, adventurous and fun.  In particular they focus on the aspects of the different ecosystems as they travel and on real wildlife changes and the conservation efforts that are going-on on the ground right now. If you book me as a guide , we can explore species of snake, the importance of bees, pollination, crop cycles, impacts of human population growth, the issues animals face as well as us humans and what conservationists are doing to help mitigate various problems.

I am available on request for tailor made trips for those of you with a specific interest in conservation or herpetology.
